Deputy District Mayor Tang Chao of Haidian District: The top 100 commercial aerospace companies in the district account for over a quarter of the national total, with a focus on the goal of "thousands of satellites in orbit, and a trillion yuan scale."
Today, at the Space Computing Forum of the 2026 Global Digital Economy Conference, Tang Chao, Deputy Director of the Zhongguancun Science City Management Committee and Deputy District Mayor of Haidian District, stated that currently, Haidian district has gathered more than 200 leading aerospace technology and aerospace enterprises, forming a complete industrial ecosystem covering satellite development to application scenarios. Haidian accounts for over a quarter of the top 100 commercial aerospace companies in the country, leading in industry clustering and competitiveness nationwide. In 2025, Haidian was named the first commercial aerospace satellite characteristic industry cluster in Beijing. Looking ahead, Haidian will fully support the construction of the Beijing Space Computing Innovation Center, focusing on three key areas to achieve the goal of "a thousand satellites in orbit, with a scale of one trillion": first, focusing on cutting-edge technologies such as space-native computing chips and on-orbit large model iteration to seize industry standards; second, deepening the integration of space computing with satellite internet and artificial intelligence to accelerate the commercialization of benchmark scenarios; third, relying on the Beijing Satellite Town and the billion-dollar industrial fund to strengthen the space, capital, and talent elements throughout the entire chain.
