Shanghai: Using the inventory of productive sows as the core regulatory indicator, the normal inventory has been adjusted to 80,000, with a total of 90 large-scale pig farms.
The Shanghai Municipal Government has issued the "Comprehensive Regulation Plan for Swine Production Capacity," with the number of breeding sows as the core regulatory indicator. The normal holding quantity has been adjusted to 80,000 heads, with 90 large-scale pig farms. Based on monthly changes in inventory levels, areas are classified into green, yellow, and red zones, with different regulatory measures being implemented. In green zones, market regulation is the main focus, while yellow zones focus on early warning and guidance, and red zones will see intensified regulatory measures. At the same time, each district and Bright Food Group must ensure the relatively stable production capacity of live pigs. The Municipal Agriculture and Rural Affairs Commission will timely release production monitoring information and guide farms in scientifically arranging production schedules.
