With the increasing number of hot summer days in Europe, China's export of electric fans to Europe is showing strong growth momentum. Customs data shows that from January to May 2026, the amount of electric fans exported by China to major European countries saw a significant year-on-year increase. Some companies have seen a 20% increase in orders for exporting electric fans to Europe this year. According to customs data, in the first five months of this year, the export value of electric fans from China to the UK, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, and Portugal has all increased by 20% or more, with the export value to Portugal showing the highest year-on-year increase at 96.5%; in addition, the export value of electric fans to Italy increased by 4.3%. Li Mingyang, general manager of Zhongshan Letu Electric Appliances, told reporters that in February and March this year, they have already shipped a lot of orders for electric fans to Europe. Their export amount of electric fans to Europe increased by 20% compared to last year. Due to the significant increase in prices of raw materials such as copper and plastic, as well as the growing cost of exchange rates, the export unit price of electric fans has increased by about 7%-8%. "With the current hot weather in Europe, which was unexpected, we anticipate an increase in orders for next year," Li Mingyang said.
