On June 27, the largest high-speed railway hub station in the western region of China, Chongqing East Station, celebrated its one-year anniversary of opening and operation. As the starting station of the Chongqing East to Qianjiang section of the Chongqing to Xiamen high-speed railway, this modern hub with a total construction area of 1.22 million square meters and 15 platforms and 29 tracks has served a total of 3.03 million passengers and operated 16,800 train services in the past year. The main line of the Chongqing to Qianjiang section of the Chongqing to Xiamen high-speed railway is 242 kilometers in length with a designed maximum speed of 350 km/h, and the travel time between the central city area of Chongqing and Qianjiang has been reduced from 4 hours to about 1 hour since its opening one year ago.
