On June 26, the "Research Report on High-quality Creation and Communication of Chinese Micro Short Dramas" was released. The report shows that as of March 2026, the number of micro short drama users has reached 718 million, with a penetration rate of 70% among internet users. The monthly active users of independent apps reached 335 million, a year-on-year increase of 74%. In terms of age, the group aged 31-40 accounts for the highest proportion at 31.30%, making them the core audience; those aged 51 and above and 24-30 also account for a significant proportion, at 23.55% and 16.09% respectively, showing a trend of audience maturity.
