World-class high dam hydropower projects are operating in Sichuan, helping to increase clean energy supply.
The first unit of the Shuangjiangkou Hydropower Station at Daduhe River in China National Energy Group was officially connected to the grid for power generation on the 26th, marking the entry of this world-class hydropower project into the operational phase, which will serve as a boost to China's clean energy supply. The Shuangjiangkou Hydropower Station project is located in Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province, using a rock-fill core wall dam, with a maximum dam height of 315 meters, making it a world-class high dam. During the construction process, key technical challenges such as overcoming high ground stress for underground power plant construction, organizing large-scale earthwork filling, and long-distance material transportation were successfully addressed, resulting in a number of world-class hydropower engineering technical achievements.
