Suzhou: The added value of industrial enterprises above designated size in the city increased by 9.7% year-on-year from January to May.

According to the Suzhou release, from January to May, the added value of the city's industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 9.7% year on year. The total industrial output value of industrial enterprises above designated size reached 2.04197 trillion yuan, an increase of 7.1% year on year. Key industries led the growth. The top five industries achieved an output value of 1.22861 trillion yuan, accounting for 60.2% of the total industrial output value above designated size, an increase of 8.5% year on year, with the electronic information industry, special equipment manufacturing industry, and electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry growing by 10.0%, 9.1%, and 8.5% respectively. The high-tech manufacturing industry showed good momentum. The output value of high-tech manufacturing enterprises above designated size increased by 10.9% year on year, contributing 55.9% to the growth of the total industrial output value above designated size.
