Safra Sarasin's sustainable asset management, in a report, stated that investors are demanding additional compensation due to concerns about the UK public finances, and that the yield on long-term UK government bonds may remain high. He noted that the UK's new leadership may require additional funding to meet the growing public spending demands. According to Tradeweb data, the yield on UK 30-year government bonds has increased by 5 basis points, with the latest rate at 5.457%.
