India launches anti-dumping investigation on alloy and non-alloy hot-rolled steel plates involving China.

On June 25, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced that it had initiated an anti-dumping investigation into alloy and non-alloy hot-rolled steel sheets originating from or imported from China, Japan, and Russia based on applications submitted by Indian domestic companies JSW Steel Limited, JSW Vijaynagar Metallics Limited, and Jindal Steel Odisha Limited. The products under investigation fall under Indian customs codes 7208, 7211, 7225, and 7226. The anti-dumping investigation period is from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025, and the injury investigation periods are from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023, April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024, April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025, and January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025.
