Jiangsu: Adhere to the strictest system and the most stringent rule of law to protect the ecological environment, and strengthen the standardized management of solid and hazardous waste.

On June 24th, the Jiangsu Provincial Government held an executive meeting to discuss and arrange work on workplace safety, crackdown on illegal activities related to hazardous waste, development of the security industry, and overseas patent layout. The meeting was chaired by Governor Liu Xiaotao. The meeting emphasized the importance of taking advantage of the Workplace Safety Month to promote the "six transformations" in workplace safety, continuously deepen the comprehensive governance of gas safety, use artificial intelligence and big data to identify and rectify hidden dangers in key areas, implement flood prevention measures, and conduct targeted safety promotion to make workplace safety a consensus and conscious action for the whole society. The meeting also stressed the need to protect the ecological environment with the strictest regulations and rule of law, strengthen the standardized management of hazardous waste, crack down on illegal activities, improve the traceability and informatization of supervision throughout the entire process, and accelerate the construction of a comprehensive governance system for reducing waste at the source, controlling processes, utilizing end products, and harmlessly managing the entire chain. The meeting separately reviewed policies and measures to support the high-quality development of the security industry in Lianyungang and strengthen overseas patent layout. It was noted that efforts should be made to enhance the internationalization and specialization of the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum, develop an industry chain development map, expand unique security application scenarios, foster and build an enterprise talent pool, diversify international markets, and promote the high-quality development of the security industry through the empowerment of artificial intelligence.
