Due to the earthquake impact, part of the runway at Narita Airport in Japan is closed.
On the 26th local time, around 12:46 pm, a 5.8 magnitude earthquake occurred in the northeastern part of Chiba Prefecture, Japan. Due to the earthquake, Narita Airport in Chiba Prefecture closed two runways from 12:47 pm for safety checks. In addition, the Tsukuba Express line connecting Tsukuba City in Ibaraki Prefecture and Akihabara in Tokyo suspended operations at 12:50 pm. The railway company stated that train services will be resumed as soon as safety is confirmed.
