The second nuclear power plant in Japan's East China Sea is in a state of shutdown.

On the 26th local time, the Japan Atomic Power Company announced that the Tokai Second Nuclear Power Station is currently in a shutdown state. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, a 5.8 magnitude earthquake occurred in the northeastern part of Chiba Prefecture at around 12:46 on the 26th. As of now, it has not been confirmed that this earthquake has caused any abnormalities at the nuclear power station. In addition, the radiation levels measured by monitoring stations around the nuclear power station have not changed.
