Qatar issues first crude oil tender since outbreak of conflict with Iran
The bidding documents show that Qatar Energy Company plans to sell all the crude oil cargoes of the Sarsin oil field, onshore oil fields in Qatar, and offshore oil fields in Qatar to be loaded in July and August. This is the first time the company has issued a crude oil tender since the outbreak of the Iran conflict. Each batch has a volume of 500,000 barrels, and can be shipped on any date between July and August; the loading window for each cargo must be negotiated and agreed upon by both parties. The transaction can be settled at offshore prices, or the crude oil can be transshipped between ships at Fujairah or Sohar ports, with a maximum of 2 million barrels per transfer. The deadline for the tender is 12:00 pm local time on June 29th; bid prices are valid until 6:00 pm on the same day. The company has not yet responded.
