On June 25, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment announced the discovery of a blue hole in the waters of Huangyan Island in the South China Sea. Marine blue holes are rare geological formations on Earth, known for their deep blue water and unique cave structures, making them highly attractive natural landscapes often referred to as the "pupil of the sea." In recent years, China has declared the establishment of a territorial baseline and the creation of a national nature reserve on Huangyan Island. China's activities on Huangyan Island fully comply with relevant laws and regulations, and in the future, will continue to carry out routine monitoring, scientific research, patrols, and conservation activities in accordance with the Regulations on Nature Reserves of the People's Republic of China.
