Ministry of Education issues warning: Low scores for admission to top universities? "Internal indicators" do not exist.
The 2026 college entrance examination has come to an end, and the processes of score checking, filling out preferences, and admission have become the focus of attention for students and parents. Some organizations or individuals have targeted this crucial period to make profits, using various tactics to commit fraud. Recently, the Jading police in Shanghai cracked down on a fraud gang involved in student enrollment scams. The suspects fabricated identities such as "Vice Chairman of the National Fitness Association" and claimed to help students who performed poorly on the college entrance examination to enter top universities as high-level athletes in sports like football and basketball, using low scores. They defrauded 22 parents of students, with a total amount exceeding 9 million yuan. The Ministry of Education reminds that college admissions are strictly based on scores, preferences, and plans, and are conducted openly and transparently. There are no "internal quotas", "special admissions quotas", or "reducing scores for internal admissions" through informal channels.
