The report states that this is part of a broader regional investment plan. The plan is expected to be announced at a meeting at the presidential palace on June 29. The report suggests that SK Hynix's plan may focus on expanding investment in its NAND flash memory wafer fab in Cheongju. SK Hynix completed the M15 factory in 2018. In addition, Samsung Electronics currently produces advanced chips such as HBM in its packaging plants in Tianan and Wonyang.
