Chinese meteorologist Xu Jianmin was awarded the prize by the World Meteorological Organization.

On the 24th, the World Meteorological Organization awarded the 70th International Meteorological Organization Prize to Xu Jianmin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and satellite meteorology expert of the China Meteorological Administration, in Geneva, recognizing his outstanding contributions to weather forecasting, satellite meteorology, and meteorological service.
