The Canadian automotive market research firm, Desrosiers Automotive Consultants, stated that gasoline consumption in Canada reached a record high in the first quarter. The organization found that domestic consumption was 10.33 million cubic meters, a 4.2% increase compared to the same period last year. Desrosiers' Managing Partner, Andrew King, pointed out that gasoline consumption was high at the beginning of the year, but prices soared in March due to the conflict between the United States and Iran. He said, "We will monitor whether this will dampen demand in the second quarter."
