According to reports, industry sources indicate that in order to support the South Korean government's balanced national development strategy, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are discussing the creation of a super large-scale semiconductor industry cluster in the Hunan region of South Korea. The planned scope of this project has expanded beyond the originally discussed advanced packaging production lines, now also including semiconductor wafer manufacturing facilities, with an overall investment scale expected to reach several hundred trillion won. Industry insiders speculate that Samsung's investment amount may exceed 200 trillion won, while SK Hynix's investment scale could be even higher.
