The "Belt and Road" Trade and Investment Forum successfully held in 2026.
On June 23, during the 4th Chain Expo, the 2026 "Belt and Road" Trade and Investment Forum was held in Beijing. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and China Chamber of International Commerce, and Song Hailiang, Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of the Silk Road Business Council and China Communications Construction Group Ltd., attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Ren Hongbin stated that China's 15th Five-Year Plan has made important arrangements for the high-quality construction of the "Belt and Road," proposing to strengthen strategic alignment with partner countries, expand practical cooperation in emerging fields, and demonstrate to the world China's firm determination to promote common prosperity through high-level openness. CCPIT and CCPIT will further play the role of bridge and link, build high-quality platforms like the Chain Expo, enrich service supply, help companies expand development space in the cooperation of building the "Belt and Road," and make new and greater contributions to promote the stable and far-reaching development of the "Belt and Road" and jointly build a community of shared future for mankind. Chandi Raj Dakal, President of the South Asian Association of Commerce, Marco Cadez, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Wudi Suwanafong, President of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce, John McClain, Chairman of the British-Chinese Business Development Center, Dato' Looi Chong Chuan, Senator and Chairman of the Malaysia-China Business Council, and Qiu Weigong, Chairman of the Thai-Chinese Business Committee, delivered speeches. Representatives from partner countries and regions in politics, business, and academia discussed topics such as "Focus on Infrastructure and Livelihoods, Build High-Quality Connectivity" and "Promote Trade and Investment, Advance Global Cooperation and Development," deepening exchanges and discussions, and consolidating broad consensus for cooperation. The forum was hosted by the China Chamber of International Commerce under the theme "Building a New Open Pattern, Building a New Future for the Silk Road." More than 200 representatives from government departments, business leaders, international organization leaders, experts, and scholars from "Belt and Road" partner countries attended the forum.
