During the 2026 Summer Davos, Ningde Times founder Zeng Yuqun said, "China's electricity grid and energy system are very mature. For the entire industry, the total power consumption of new artificial intelligence data centers is not much compared to the total electricity output. The question is whether data centers use fossil fuels or renewable energy. If we consider data centers as a new category, there may be some difficulties and problems in using renewable energy, as we need enough space to build photovoltaic panels, wind power generation, and energy storage facilities. China's requirement for new data centers to use 80% renewable energy is very good, and China has the ability to solve this problem."
