At the main forum of the 2026 APEC Small and Medium Enterprises Business Forum held on the morning of the 24th, Mayor of Shenzhen, Tan Wei Zhong, introduced that as of May this year, the total number of operating entities in Shenzhen exceeded 4.5 million, including over 2.8 million small and medium enterprises, ranking first in terms of both the number of operating entities and entrepreneurial density among Chinese cities.
