Strengthening the construction of data journals, the Chinese Academy of Sciences releases a new journal.

On June 23, the English data journal "Data Express" supervised by the Chinese Academy of Sciences was officially launched. The goal of the journal is to publish high-quality, reproducible, and long-lasting scientific data, promote the standardized publication, widespread sharing, and efficient reuse of scientific data in various fields, and facilitate the circulation and collaboration of global research data. It is reported that in addition to "Data Express," the Chinese Academy of Sciences will also launch a series of domain-specific data journals in fields such as mathematics, ecology, and marine atmosphere by 2026, forming a cluster of data journals consisting of "1 comprehensive flagship journal + N domain-specific professional journals," and constructing a three-dimensional data journal system to provide a rapid publication channel for scientific data achievements for researchers.
