JPMorgan Chase: Amazon Prime Day sales can reach as high as $8 billion.
Analysts at J.P. Morgan said they expect Amazon's four-day Prime event to generate between 7 to 8 billion dollars in global incremental revenue in the second quarter. Amazon kicked off its 12th annual Prime Day event on Tuesday, offering millions of discounts in over 35 countries. This is the first time since 2021 that Prime Day has been held in the second quarter. The analysts at J.P. Morgan believe that holding the event earlier will help Amazon generate more demand while avoiding the impact of the World Cup and the 250th anniversary of the United States' founding. They predict that third-party sales will increase by 6% per day during the event, while direct sales will increase by 7% per day.
