This year, 123,000 disaster-prone and remote villages have been equipped with emergency communication devices for the flood season.

From the flood season safety knowledge press conference held today by the Ministry of Emergency Management, it was learned that the Ministry of Emergency Management is enhancing its flood prevention and emergency preparedness. They adhere to the principle of rescuing the distressed and ensuring safety in times of danger, deploying more than 27,000 professionals in water rescue from the national comprehensive firefighting and rescue team in disaster-prone areas nationwide, deploying over 150 aircraft for flood prevention and preparedness for inter-regional reinforcement; arranging 2,200 engineering emergency rescue personnel from China National Energy to be stationed for standby duty; working together with the finance, food storage, and other departments to prepare and stockpile central emergency rescue materials, being ready at all times to respond to various disasters and risks. In order to better address the possible "three disruptions" that may occur during the flood season, the Ministry of Emergency Management has deployed 251 large and medium-sized unmanned aerial vehicle communication platforms in key provinces, equipped 12.3 million vulnerable and remote villages with emergency communication means such as satellite phones, 370 MHz walkie-talkies, and Beidou short message terminals, ensuring safety protection is always online.
