Aba-Chengdu East 1000 kV Ultra-High Voltage AC Project Tower Construction is Completed on the Entire Line.

On June 22nd, the construction of the Aba-Chengdu East 1000 kV high-voltage AC project has completed the assembly of over 1400 tower foundations along the entire line, and the project has entered the stage of wire installation. The total length of the project is 734.8 kilometers, passing through four cities in Sichuan: Aba, Mianyang, Deyang, and Ziyang. The terrain along the route is complex, with more than sixty percent consisting of steep mountains. There are 186 towers located above 3000 meters in altitude, making the construction difficulty extremely high. The project is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2026, at which time the capacity of the Aba corridor will increase by more than double, effectively meeting the demand for sending out new energy in western Sichuan, and providing strong power support for the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.
