The Supreme People's Procuratorate released a report on the development of juvenile prosecution work over the past 40 years. The report shows that the mechanism of juvenile prosecution work in China has become more sound, the institutional system has become more perfected, and the implementation of the "dual protection" principle has become more forceful. Since 2018, procuratorates have prosecuted 531,000 people for crimes against minors. They have cracked down severely on crimes of sexually assaulting minors, strengthened care and assistance for minor victims, and promoted the establishment of more than 2,600 "one-stop" case handling areas that integrate functions such as questioning, evidence collection, physical examination, and psychological counseling. They have conducted simultaneous questioning of over 100,000 people, provided psychological counseling over 119,000 times, and distributed 860 million yuan in assistance funds.
