The Ministry of Health in the Democratic Republic of Congo said on the 21st that the total number of confirmed cases in the current Ebola outbreak in the country has risen to 1003, with 254 deaths. It is widely believed that due to the special type of virus, insufficient case detection, inadequate contact tracing, as well as the complex security situation and severe humanitarian crisis in eastern Congo, the epidemic prevention and control work is facing multiple challenges, and the current outbreak is still in the "rising stage".
