Cook era gradually fading away? Gurman: Apple's new CEO may refocus on the design team.
Bloomberg's well-known Apple reporter Mark Gurman wrote an article on Sunday reviewing the changes in Apple's organizational structure over the past decade. During Tim Cook's tenure, the influence of the design team at Apple's senior level gradually weakened, a trend that intensified due to the departure of Jony Ive and talent outflow, while the finance and operations departments gained more and more say in product direction. However, Gurman believes that the incoming CEO, John Ternus, may re-adjust this relationship and once again establish the important position of the design team in Apple's future development.
