Due to the acquisition offer from private equity firms failing to meet the expected valuation of 2 billion US dollars, Coca-Cola has officially shelved its plan to sell Costa Coffee. After the sale plan was called off, the beverage giant is now focusing on restructuring and operational optimization to improve the profitability of its Costa Coffee business in all channels. None of the acquisition offers met Coca-Cola's valuation target, prompting the company to halt the sale of Costa Coffee. Coca-Cola acquired the coffee chain brand for over 5 billion US dollars in 2018. Coca-Cola has abandoned the sale plan and instead integrated all aspects of Costa's business, dissolved its "Global Ventures" unit, and directly transferred the Costa chain brand to regional sector management, with a focus on upgrading business in the European and Chinese markets. This restructuring aims to address multiple industry challenges, including rising costs, fluctuating coffee bean prices, and shifts in consumer consumption habits.
