The Macao Special Administrative Region Government Security Police Department announced on the 20th that as of 4 p.m. on the 20th, the number of tourists entering Macao this year has exceeded 20 million, with an average of 116,000 per day, an increase of 10.2% compared to the same period last year. In addition, on May 2nd this year, the number of tourists entering Macao in a single day broke the record, reaching 248,000. The Macao Special Administrative Region Government Security Police Department stated that as the peak summer tourist season approaches, the department has fully implemented various police deployments, flexibly opening inspection channels based on the actual situation of passenger and vehicle flow, ensuring smooth and safe customs clearance processes at all ports of entry.
