Emma Mogford of Premier Miton Monthly Income Fund said on Thursday, after the Bank of England kept interest rates unchanged at 3.75%, that the Bank may not need to raise rates this year. "The impact of higher prices later this year due to the Iran conflict may be offset by lower demand and the mild expectations for wage growth given the relatively weak labor market," she said. The Bank of England passed the decision with a vote of 7 in favor and 2 against, with two policymakers leaning towards a 25 basis point rate hike.
