Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission CEO visits Shanghai.

Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission Chief Executive Leung Fung-yee and Market Surveillance Department Executive Director Leung Chung-yin concluded their three-day visit in Shanghai today. During their stay in Shanghai, Ms. Leung accompanied Financial Secretary Paul Chan in meetings with the Chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, Yi Huiman. The two sides had in-depth discussions on the latest developments in the capital markets of both places, ongoing optimization of mutual market access, and efforts to strengthen and enhance Hong Kong's status as an international financial center. During their visit to Shanghai, Ms. Leung and her delegation also visited several financial regulatory agencies and market trading settlement institutions to exchange views on how Hong Kong can better support the internationalization of mainland capital markets, the opening up of financial products to the outside world, and cooperate in promoting the high-quality coordinated development of the Shanghai-Hong Kong international financial center.
