The website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the State Supervision Commission reported on June 18 that, according to the Jiangxi Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, with the approval of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Jiangxi Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision has launched an investigation into the serious disciplinary and legal violations of Zou Wenming, deputy general manager of Jiangxi Provincial Water Investment Group Co., Ltd. According to the investigation, Zou Wenming has lost his ideal and belief, betrayed his original aspirations and missions, disregarded the spirit of the Eight-point Code of Conduct of the Central Party, accepted banquets, entertainment, and travel arrangements that may affect the fair execution of official duties, received gifts and money in violation of rules, had others pay for expenses that should have been paid by himself, organized banquets paid for with public funds in violation of regulations; violated organizational principles by not reporting personal matters as required, and sought benefits for others in staff recruitment and other work; breached the bottom line of integrity by taking part-time pay improperly; intervened in and interfered with market economic activities; abused the power entrusted by the Party and the people by using public power for personal gain, and illegally accepting a large amount of money and property; abused power, causing significant losses to national interests. Zou Wenming has seriously violated the Party's political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, work discipline, and life discipline, constituting a serious violation of duty and suspected of bribery and misuse of power by personnel of state-owned companies. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, he has failed to restrain himself, behaved unscrupulously, and the nature of his actions and their impact are serious and bad, and he should be dealt with seriously. In accordance with relevant regulations such as the "Regulations on Discipline and Punishment of the Communist Party of China," the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China," and the "Administrative Punishment Law for Public Officials of the People's Republic of China," the Standing Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection has decided, after discussion at a meeting and approval by the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, to expel Zou Wenming from the Party; and the Jiangxi Provincial Supervision Commission has decided to dismiss him from public office, confiscate his illegal gains, and transfer his suspected criminal activities to the procuratorial organs for examination and prosecution in accordance with the law, along with the confiscated property.
