Special treatment for "ghost scales," farmers' markets will be divided into four credit ratings.
Recently, the country has introduced the first credit rating standards for agricultural markets. According to a unified credit evaluation system, markets will be divided into four levels: A, B, C, and D. Markets with major cheating or serious dishonest behavior will be directly classified as the lowest level, D. For markets with poor credit, market supervision departments will conduct high-frequency, full-coverage inspections, publicly expose them, and, for serious cases, they will be lawfully and regulatory cleared. The new regulations will be implemented starting in 2027 to fully safeguard the "vegetable basket".
