The Three Gorges double-line five-level ship lock has been open to social ships for navigation since June 18, 2003, and has been operating safely and stably for 23 years. According to the Three Gorges Group Basin Management Center, as of mid-June 2026, the Three Gorges double-line five-level ship lock has accumulated over 225,000 locking operations, serviced over 1.11 million vessels, and the total cargo volume passing through the lock has exceeded 2.4 billion tons.
