According to the Shaanxi Province Social Welfare and Elderly Care Service Association, the international elderly care talent training program jointly launched by the association and the Xi'an Charity Association has been officially released. The program is set to start enrolling its first batch of students in September this year, with plans to recruit 200 students to study abroad and further develop their caregiving skills. This marks a step towards internationalizing the training of elderly care professionals in Shaanxi. The program aims to create a talent development chain of "study abroad - study - local transformation", and to innovate a three-dimensional training system of "psychology, medicine, and society". It will focus on three major areas: cognitive science care for dementia, humanistic care for end-of-life patients, and overall professional development for caregivers. Additionally, it will expand the career promotion pathway from junior nursing assistants to international caregivers, explore a talent retention model of "charity + elderly care", and establish a replicable and scalable elderly care talent training "Shaanxi approach".
