Goldman Sachs: Post-war oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz may only recover to 70% of pre-war levels.
Goldman Sachs Group said that the oil transportation volume through the Strait of Hormuz may only recover to around 70% of the pre-war level. Analysts said that the expected rebound in oil freight volume may be completed by the end of next month, and oil production in the Gulf region is expected to recover in October. Regional oil-producing countries have increased the use of infrastructure bypassing the shipping bottleneck to ensure stable energy delivery to global customers; some countries are developing plans to reduce their dependence on transportation through the Strait of Hormuz.
