On Thursday, US President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that Apple has agreed to collaborate with Intel in designing and manufacturing its chips in the United States. According to media reports in May, after more than a year of negotiations, Intel has reached a preliminary agreement to produce some chips for Apple. Reaching an agreement with Intel will help Apple expand chip production capacity while diversifying its manufacturing base. The company currently heavily relies on TSMC, but TSMC's advanced production lines are in high demand by artificial intelligence chip manufacturers like NVIDIA and AMD.
