South Korea's financial market regulatory agency issued an investor warning on Thursday, reminding investors to pay attention to recently launched individual stock leverage investment products. Recently, chip stocks have led the rise in the South Korean market, outperforming the global market. "Recently, there has been an increase in stock market volatility, with individual stock leverage or inverse investment products experiencing sharp fluctuations in the short term," the Financial Supervisory Service of South Korea said in a statement. "Therefore, the Financial Supervisory Service issues a consumer warning, reminding retail investors to be aware of the risks and urging them to make investment decisions carefully." Last month, South Korean brokerages were approved by regulatory authorities to introduce individual stock leverage investment products linked to Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix.
