National Development and Reform Commission: Will continue to provide tracking guidance for the market-oriented transactions of the Yunxiao HVDC transmission rights, and promote it to other inter-provincial and inter-regional channels in a timely manner.
Li Chao, Deputy Director of the Policy Research Office of the National Development and Reform Commission and spokesperson, stated at a press conference that after the launch of market-oriented trading for Yunxiao HVDC transmission rights, relevant parties actively participated. On June 11-12, the Beijing and Guangzhou power trading centers jointly organized the first transaction of transmission rights, with a preliminary transaction volume of 21.16 million kilowatt-hours from Anhui to Guangdong, including 16.07 million kilowatt-hours of green electricity. A total of 113 operating entities participated in the bidding for this transaction. In the next step, the National Development and Reform Commission will continue to provide guidance for market-oriented trading of Yunxiao HVDC transmission rights in collaboration with relevant departments, evaluate and summarize relevant experiences and effects in a timely manner, and promote to other inter-provincial and inter-regional channels as appropriate to facilitate the cross-regional flow of surplus electricity nationwide, activate the efficiency of transmission channel assets, and accelerate the establishment of a national unified electricity market system with unified rules and coordinated operations.
