China Mobile led the completion of the 3GPP "6G Scenarios and Technical Requirements" standard research project.
Recently, the 3GPP Radio Access Network Technical Specification Group approved the milestone review of the 6G wireless technology standard research progress at its 112th plenary meeting, and completed the "6G scenarios and technical requirements" project with China Mobile serving as the project reporter. The project output "6G Scenarios and Technical Requirements Report" integrates scenarios, spectrum, coverage, energy efficiency, migration, architecture, and operations and maintenance into a set of assessable criteria based on 6G wireless side basic issues for the first time. This not only serves as a guiding principle for the subsequent research on the first version of the 6G wireless technology standard, but also serves as an important input for ITU-R to propose 6G performance requirements, setting the baseline for the global 6G technology roadmap, network architecture, and industry pace.
