On June 16, 2026, a search by The Paper News found that the official website of the former Liaoning Provincial Bureau of Statistics has been updated. The "Liaoning Provincial Bureau of Statistics and Liaoning Provincial Business Environment Construction Bureau" previously displayed at the top of the webpage has been changed to "Liaoning Provincial Bureau of Data and Government Services." On that day, the staff on duty at the Liaoning Provincial Bureau of Data and Government Services confirmed that the bureau had been renamed to the Provincial Bureau of Data and Government Services.
