National Bureau of Statistics: Enterprises in the middle and lower reaches face stage-like cost pressures, and the effects of relevant policies to assist enterprises are expected to gradually appear.
On June 16, Wang Guanhua, spokesperson of the National Bureau of Statistics and Deputy Director of the Department of Comprehensive Economic Statistics, stated at a press conference of the State Council Information Office that due to differences in industrial division of labor, market demand, industry competition, and various other factors, the profitability performance of industries shows a certain degree of differentiation. Midstream and downstream enterprises are facing temporary cost pressures. Faced with changes in costs, many enterprises are taking proactive measures to explore potential and increase efficiency through technological transformation, refined management, market expansion, and other ways to offset pressures. Relevant departments and regions are continuously implementing and refining policies to support large-scale equipment updates and transformations by enterprises, and taking measures to reduce energy and logistics costs for enterprises, with effects expected to gradually appear. From a national perspective, although some enterprises are under pressure in production and operation, as industrial production grows rapidly, industrial prices rise, industrial enterprises' operating income and profits continue to steadily grow, and the resilience of the industrial economy continues to be evident.
