The Zhixin Finance APP learned that on June 15, the Monetary Authority of Macau announced that the total amount of foreign exchange reserves in the Macao Special Administrative Region at the end of May 2026 was preliminarily estimated to be 235.3 billion Macau patacas (29.17 billion US dollars), an increase of 1.1% from the revised total of 232.8 billion Macau patacas (28.84 billion US dollars) in April 2026. The total amount of foreign exchange assets at the end of May 2026 is equivalent to about 10 times the circulation currency in Macau at the end of April 2026 or 85.8% of the Macau element in the broad money supply (M2) of Macau at the end of April 2026.
