U.S. President Trump posted on social media that the agreement between the United States and Iran "is now completed." He "authorized" the Strait of Hormuz to be "freely opened" and for the U.S. Navy to immediately lift related blockades. Once the agreement is formally signed on June 19th, the Strait of Hormuz will be "reopened" on the same day. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Gharibabadi confirmed that the text of the Iran-U.S. memorandum of understanding has been finalized, and the formal signing ceremony of the "Islamabad Memorandum" will be held in Switzerland on June 19th.
