United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk said on the 15th that gang violence in Haiti this year has already caused at least 2300 deaths, 1100 injuries, and 99 kidnappings. He called on the Haitian judicial authorities to take swift action to hold the perpetrators of violence accountable.
