The Guangdong Province Disaster Reduction Committee has initiated the provincial level IV disaster relief emergency response.

"Guangdong Emergency Management" announced that, in response to the heavy rain and flooding disaster in Guangdong Province, in accordance with the "Guangdong Province Natural Disaster Relief Emergency Plan", the Provincial Disaster Reduction Committee has activated a Level IV emergency response at 7:00 pm on June 15th. All localities and relevant departments should treat disaster relief work as a top priority, strengthen organizational leadership, activate local natural disaster relief emergency responses according to actual conditions, fulfill their responsibilities diligently, take effective measures, enhance disaster statistics reporting, properly arrange for affected populations, timely distribute disaster relief funds and goods, ensure that affected populations have food to eat, clothes to wear, water to drink, a place to stay, and access to timely medical treatment, effectively safeguarding the basic livelihood of affected populations.
