Fujian Fuqing is one of the important bases for poultry and egg production in southern China, with an annual production of over 45,000 tons of fresh eggs and an annual output value of over 8 billion yuan. In the past, chicken farming relied on free-range and manual labor, but now egg-laying hens live in modern "buildings" with constant temperature and humidity, with robot "nannies" guarding them throughout the process. CCTV financial reporters visited a local three-dimensional egg-laying farm and saw that in front of each chicken cage, there is a feed trough that automatically delivers feed to each henhouse on a timed and quantified basis, intelligently feeding and saving labor while also scientifically formulating the feed. This three-dimensional egg-laying farm raises a total of 600,000 chickens, with an "AI chicken nanny" patrolling the chicken coop according to a set route. The staff introduced that this chicken-raising robot can monitor the situation of the chicken flock in real time through built-in high-definition cameras and AI algorithms. In addition, it can identify problem chickens, low egg production chickens, non-egg production chickens, and weak chickens through recognition and comparison. In addition to caring for the chicken flock, the robot also manages the chicken coop, monitoring environmental factors such as temperature and humidity in real time, and regularly inspecting the egg production of laying hens, automatically calculating the feed-egg ratio and egg production. In addition, the egg processing workshop of this company has also been intelligentized, with an automated production line that can accurately identify cracked eggs, which was previously the most labor-intensive sorting process.
