China Coal Energy announced that in May 2026, the production of commercial coal was 10.81 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 9.2%; the sales volume of commercial coal was 21.87 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.4%. From January to May, the cumulative production of commercial coal was 51 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 9.4%; the cumulative sales volume was 98.31 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 8.1%. Among them, the sales volume of self-produced commercial coal was 10.51 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 10.6%. In the coal chemical business, the production of polyethylene was 67,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 39.6%; the production of polypropylene was 65,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 58.5%; the production of urea was 136,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 26.9%; the production of methanol was 141,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 16.6%; the production of ammonium nitrate was 39,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 35.0%. The output value of coal mining equipment was 480 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 42.2%.
